Privacy Policy

UppNu is an alarm app that helps you wake up by requiring you to complete a mission before the alarm can be switched off. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

UppNu has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we do not build a profile that identifies you.

What stays on your device

The following is stored locally on your iPhone, in the app's own database, and is not transmitted to us:

• Your alarms, their times, repeat days and mission settings
• Your wake-up history — which mornings you completed a mission, at what time, and how long it took
• Your mission history, including which mission types you ran
• Your chronotype result from the onboarding quiz
• App settings and preferences

Deleting UppNu removes all of it from your device.

Camera

The push-up mission uses the front camera to count repetitions. Camera frames are analysed on your device using Apple's Vision framework to estimate your body position. Frames are never uploaded, never stored, and never leave your iPhone. The app keeps only the resulting repetition count. The camera is used solely while a push-up mission is running, and iOS will ask your permission before it is used for the first time.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, UppNu uses them for alarm and reminder purposes only. We do not send marketing notifications.

Purchases and subscriptions

UppNu offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or receive your payment details.

We use two services to manage subscriptions and pricing:

• RevenueCat processes subscription status and receipts, so the app knows whether your subscription is active. It receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, and purchase information from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
• Superwall displays the subscription screens and records which screens were shown and what you tapped, so we can improve them. It receives an anonymous identifier, basic device information such as your device model, locale and app version, and your chronotype result — which is used only to personalise the wording shown on those screens. Neither service receives your name, email address, camera data or alarm history.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your information
• We do not show advertising and do not use advertising trackers
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not upload your camera, photos or microphone data

Children

UppNu is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because the app holds no account and stores your data on your own device, you control it directly: deleting the app deletes the data. If you would like the anonymous identifiers held by RevenueCat or Superwall removed, contact us and we will arrange it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top.
